- W4308030410 abstract "Since ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation is accompanied by high heat output, UVB-emitting phosphor with good heat-resistant performance is urgently needed in the UVB radiation application. In this study, a solid-state reaction was utilized to prepare Gd3+-activated RbBaBP2O8 (RBBP) phosphors with robust thermostability. The phase identification, particle morphology, chemical composition, and photoluminescent properties have been detected in detail. The studied phosphor belongs to the tetragonal diamond-like structure. It exhibits intense 6P7/2→8S7/2 transition, corresponding to narrowband UVB emission at 312 nm. The concentration quenching mechanism is verified to be dipole – dipole interaction. The title phosphor possesses millisecond-level decay time. Notably, the temperature-dependent photoluminescence reveals that the material exhibits excellent heat-resistant performance. This work provides an alternative phosphor for solid-state UVB radiation devices." @default.
