Qualitative research was used as this study's design. This study involved 120 vocational high school teachers in the Surakarta Residency. To collect data, in-depth interviews, documentation, and open questionnaires were conducted. The interactive analysis model was then employed as a data analysis technique. The study results revealed several findings: (a) the teachers continuous professional development program has been implemented quite well; (b) some problems experienced by teachers comprised limited material, lack of qualified trainers and teachers' interest in scientific work, training on weekdays, the administrative burden, inadequate facilities; and (c) teachers need systematic and continuous training, instructors according to the field of science, and training on non-effective days. These findings are beneficial for schools to pay more attention to the problems and the teachers’ needs about continuous professional development." @default.
