- W4309263988 abstract "Abrasive Jet Machining (AJM) is an innovative machining process that includes directing the jet of higher-velocity air-abrasive particles on a work piece to remove material. AJM technique is often used to machine brittle materials and is rarely utilised to machine ductile materials. This machining method is based on the abrasive erosion theory. The current research project aims to drill a hole in a Soda-lime glass. To accomplish this, several abrasive materials such as roasted sand, lime and sand mixture, and coarse sand were employed. The time required to drill the hole at pressures of 3.5, 4.5, and 5.5 bars is recorded. It was discovered that the rate of material removal rises roughly linearly with system pressure." @default.
