Hence Few research studies suggested Micro-credit has been changing people's lives and revitalizing communities. The initial driving force behind this research was to comprehend and examine the actual microfinance scenario, including its consequences, demands, and effects on the conditions of individuals in the Thane area. The goal of this study is to propose the creation of a successful microfinance system that will benefit the poor in Thane. Need for MF research is due to the fact that despite major growth of microfinance, more poor people in India (THANE) now than ever before those are not getting formal financial assistance. The researcher is interested to study SHGs contribution in Thane Area. Microfinance in Maharashtra is still young industry. By considering the challenges for MFIs, the article focused on the need issues in implementation and impact. The paper utilizes data from a survey of clients, the Crisil database, and other MFI stakeholders collected by the author between 2016 and 2021 to test the impact on the lives of people in Thane. Finally, an attempt is made using econometric techniques to define the role of MF participation in poverty alleviation in a specific area, demonstrating a correlation between income, size, SHG groups, MFI contribution, and poverty level in Thane.
