- W4309779390 abstract "The performance of high temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber used in composite insulator will be worse in harsh environment. Acid and alkali pollutants in the atmospheric environment will affect the performance of silicone rubber. In this paper, the electrical aging test of silicone rubber in a corrosive environment is firstly carried out. It is found that the AC flashover voltage decreases with the increase of applied voltage and fog water conductivity, and the flashover gradient of silicone rubber has a negative power function relationship with the charging duration. In addition, this paper also pays attention to the change of hydrophobicity of the sample, and proposes the area ratio k of the hydrophobic loss area on the surface of silicone rubber to evaluate its insulating state. By calculating the value of k when the sample fails in a corrosive environment, it is found that k = 0.35 can be used as the critical condition to characterize the failure of silicone rubber composite insulation." @default.
