Legal protection for workers is divided into 2, firstly, legal protection for workers who are laid off with severance pay in accordance with Law Number 13 of 2003 concering manpower and secondly the issuance of various legal products and goverment policy program as well asthe implementation of legal programs issued to protect workers in life. Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk in Jambi City conducted mediation to make decisions inaccordance with the Legislative Regulations covering the implementation of law due to the absence of statutory regulations. Abstrak Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK) adalah pengakhiran hubungan kerja karena suatu hal tertentu yang mengakibatkan berakhirnya hak dan kewajiban antara pekerja atau buruh atau pengusaha. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis bagaimana proses pemutusan hubungan kerja dimasa pandemi covid-19 secara sepihak yang dilakukan PT. Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk di Kota Jambi dan Perlindungan hukum pemutusan hubungan kerja dimasa pandemi covid-19 bagi pekerja PT. Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk di Kota Jambi. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah yuridis empiris. Pengumpulan data adalah wawancara. Hasil peneltian yang diperoleh adalah PHK harus sesuai dengan mekanisme yang ada dan harus melakukan penyelesaian secara mediasi yang berarti dengan cara perundingan untuk mencapai mufakat. Perlindungan hukum terhadap pekerja dibagi menjadi 2, pertama perlindungan hukum terhadap pekerja yang di PHK adanya uang pesangon sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahum 2003 Tentang Ketenagakerjaan dan yang Kedua dikeluarkannya berbagai produk hukum dan program kebijakan pemerintah serta dilakukannya pengawasan terlaksananya program hukum yang telah dikeluarkan untuk melindungi pekerja dalam kelangsungan hidup. Saran hendanya pihak PT. Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk di Kota Jambi melakukan mediasi untuk membuat keputusan yang sesuai dengan Peraturan Perundang-Undangan guna menutup kekosongan hukum akibat ketidaan pelaksana peraturan Undang-Undang." @default.
