- W4310136404 abstract "In this study, a self-powered carbon dioxide (CO2) gas sensor with good sensitivity and selectivity has been developed from CeO2/CdS based triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG). Also, a comparative analysis of individual CeO2, CdS, and CeO2/CdS nanomaterials based on the resistive type and self-powered CO2 gas sensing has been performed. The CeO2/CdS was synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by XRD, FTIR, UV–visible spectroscopy, FESEM, TEM, and XPS. The XPS analysis of CeO2/CdS heterostructure confirmed that type II heterojunction was formed in CeO2 and CdS. The surface morphology of CeO2/CdS was found in regular nanospheres in the range of 30–60 nm. The resistive type CO2 gas sensor showed 3.96 sensor response at 1000 ppm of CO2, whereas, in the self-powered CO2 gas sensor, it was found 30 for the same concentration. The minimum response and recovery times were found 1835 and 835 ms respectively for 250 ppm. The self-powered CeO2/CdS TENG-based CO2 sensor is highly sensitive, selective, and quick responsive." @default.
