Underwater Robotic Vehicles (URVs) have been designed as a practical tool. URVs are mechanical submarines that belong to the growing field of autonomous and automated vehicles. URVs fill the research void left by existing monitored sub and remotely operated vehicles (ROV) technologies in ocean exploration. Developing an autonomous robotic vehicle to operate in a harsh environment entails its own set of challenges to endure the harsh sea conditions. This study discusses the design and development of an underwater robotic vehicle (URV). The newly built URV is simulated with all severe sea conditions, including velocity, pressure, and vorticity, taken into account. The proposed design after topology optimization has superior underwater maneuverability compared to current existing designs. Despite having a closed hull, the design is more fluidic, and resilient and has superior drag coefficients than previous operating URV models available in research." @default.
