- W4311330977 abstract "Metaphor has received the attention of ancient and modern researchers, and its presence in many speeches, regardless of its forms and types, has been embodied as one of the most straightforward characters of natural languages. It has become a starting point for many theories that have differed and divergent orientations, and perhaps what concerns us is that orientation that does not limit the role of metaphor to its artistic aspect only, but also to its persuasive and argumentative aspect, which is the area in which this research is concerned with. Among these strategies, we have metaphor, which is the rhetorical persuasive strategy so that its work is not limited to the aesthetic aspect, but goes beyond that to play a persuasive and argumentative role. The research has identified seven verses in which argumentative metaphor has been employed, with the intention of achieving the purposes of (influencing) and (persuasion) in the intentions of the arguing addressees, which causes a change in their thoughts, behavior, and beliefs. The nature of the study necessitated the adoption of the approach based on description and analysis, and the research ended with the conclusion that women tend to the gentle style in directing the accuracy of dialogue with the other party, using the right means in the face of pressures and experiencing events, and have the ability to maneuver in finding solutions, and to use more affirmative structures in the rhetorical formulation." @default.
