- W4312476145 abstract "Since the middle of the last century, the generation of electric power through wind and photovoltaic sources has become a globally accepted alternative to traditional energy sources. Nevertheless, distribution networks’ new and active topology of distribution networks creates new challenges for electricity providers, operators, and end-users. Therefore, investigating and analyzing the influence of the sources connected to the electric grid has become necessary to ensure an efficient power flow and avoid stressing equipment in the electrical network. For that, This paper studies and analyses a photovoltaic generation system in Al-Kufra, Libya, As it is planned to be connected to the city of Kufra. A PV system is modeled and simulated via ATP / EMTP package, presenting graphic results. First, a normal system operation case with standard ambient temperature and radiation intensity is simulated. Also, the resulting parameters will be analyzed and compared in each case by increasing the temperature to a certain value with proving radiation. Second, symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults in the different power transmission lines and their effect on other electrical network parameters will be generally discussed and simulated." @default.
