- W4312884038 abstract "Biometrics has become as familiar an authentication method as the classic “login-password” combination. The scope of its application covers almost all the needs of the average user: cell phone to car immobilizer. Modern trends in its implementation allow us to conclude that such technology will be mandatory for all areas of a citizen’s activity. One of the most popular types of biometrics is vascular bed pattern biometrics of different parts of the hand: fingers, dorsal or ventral palm, and wrist. A similar variant is planned for mandatory implementation in the Unified Biometric System, a state biometric system providing access to all state and banking services for citizens of the Russian Federation. However, current contemporary research demonstrates the vulnerability of this modality to biometric presentment attacks (spoofing attacks) [1]–[3], which involve an attacker obtaining or making a copy of a legal user’s identification data and demonstrating this copy to the biometric system scanner. This paper discusses constructing a mathematical model of a biometric system under a spoofing attack." @default.
