- W4312898002 abstract "The purpose of the scientific article is to examine the general provisions of borrowers’ creditworthiness assessment models of commercial banks in the Republic of Armenia. In the framework of this, borrower’s ratings are becoming more popular as a method for assessing liquidity risk in commercial banks. To achieve this goal the necessary data from five commercial banks in RA was gathered and studied. As borrowers' ratings are becoming increasingly important due to the growth of provided loans, the rating models of the above-mentioned commercial banks were studied and analyzed. The borrower's rating fully determines the terms of cooperation between the bank and the client, as well as outlines the bank's policy within the framework of the application of the mortgage's and its limits. During the research the methods of factor analysis, comparison, and statistical analysis were applied. It can be concluded that the analysis of the above models of ratings of commercial banks showed that each commercial bank has its own individual rating model, which, however, has certain disadvantages, which were discussed in the article. It is also important that commercial banks analyze both financial and management reports in order to assign an internal rating, which makes the latter more realistic." @default.
