- W4313180813 abstract "Carbon emissions produced by buildings have far-ranging adverse environmental effects. To achieve net zero emissions, greenhouse gas emissions should be counterbalanced by carbon sequestration. Fly-Ash is a one of the known materials for its low carbon emission and only 20% of this Copper slag is used for land filling purposes, the remaining 80% is dumped as waste, the disposal of which poses a problem. Geopolymer concrete is made with the partial replacement of CS for fine aggregate with Fly-Ash used as a cementitious material. Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) are the alkali activators taken for this present study. Surface morphology and elemental composition of copper slag, mineralogical phases in Fly-Ash are examined. The prepared concrete specimens are subjected to destructive tests and durability tests. The study reveals that the utilization of Copper Slag as replacement material for Fine Aggragate in concrete increases the density of concrete." @default.
