- W4313200742 abstract "The steel industry has brought about economic and social development but has also caused a great deal of resource consumption and environmental pollution. Ecological economic evaluation methods (EEEM) are often used to determine sustainable development. The traditional EEEM included substance/material flow analysis, economic value analysis, life cycle assessment, energy/emergy analysis, footprint analysis and ecosystem services evaluation. Because the traditional EEEM have their peculiar perspectives and shortcomings in algorithms, we systematically summarized the current progress in cross-application of different eco-economics methods by scholars in various fields. Applying the latest theories and methods would be the inevitable solution to the sustainable development of the steel industry. Using the existing eco-economics theory and application progress, we propose the future eco-economics evaluation theory and direction of application which include the integration of data, and a variety of eco-economics methods, and selection of evaluation methods based on the features of different application targets." @default.
