- W4313216666 abstract "When graphene oxide (GO) was discovered to be the first widely used source of two-dimensional materials, it introduced numerous fascinating features of graphene into the field of chemistry. Due to the remarkable structural and functional qualities of GO, there are opportunities to enhance and even add new functions to the polymeric matrices. Because of their peculiar bulk and surface structures, graphene-based materials require characterization techniques different from those used for conventional catalysts. Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy, High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, X-ray Diffraction, and X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure are a few of them. In this chapter, we first examine the background to GO's recent rise to stardom. Then, we discuss why GO, one of the most significant components of composite materials, demands so much attention. Next, we offer recommendations for the best incorporation of GO and its derivatives into polymer matrices, an inorganic material, based on the fundamental laws of composite science." @default.
