Here, we designed an “open cavity” consisting of monolayer WS2 and a square perforated SiN structure. By taking advantage of the guided-mode resonance with high quality factor excited in perforated SiN structure, the strong photon-exciton coupling with the Rabi splitting energies of about 40 meV can be obtained. Furthermore, the Rabi splitting can be engineered by varying the hole filling factor. Our findings provide a new way to achieve the TMD-based light-matter strong coupling." @default.
