- W4313254219 abstract "In this work, ceramic aerogel coating was structured on the carbon-based fiber surface using the impregnation and polymer-derived ceramics route, and carbon-based fiber aerogel with a high thermal resistance interface was obtained. The morphology, chemical composition, thermal insulation, mechanical properties, and oxidation resistance of the composite were tested. The results showed that the thermal bridge formed by the direct lap of the fibers were avoided due to the ceramic aerogel phase interface between the carbon-based fibers. The aerogel coating at the fiber lap joints caused the heat transfer path to be complicated. Heat transfer efficiency was significantly reduced. Remarkably, the crack deflection mechanism of MoSi2 particles increased the tensile strength of the composite aerogel. Furthermore, the self-healing of MoSi2 ensured the complete structure of the ceramic aerogel coating at 1600 °C. The prepared composite aerogel provides a new strategy for researching aerospace vehicles of thermal insulation materials." @default.
