In particular, the theoretical foundations and applied aspects of groundwater management, as well as the main factors affecting the state of groundwater, are analyzed. The world experience of solving these problems is analyzed. Irrational and uncontrolled exploitation of groundwater determines many problems, including water scarcity and depletion of groundwater reserves due to their intensive extraction, environmental pollution, including solid waste (plastic, polyethylene, etc.) and toxic substances and pathogenic organisms. According to the results of the study, it is proposed to reduce the standard for mandatory reporting of water users, as well as to expand the coverage of the main water supply and drainage system to the maximum number of settlements in the shortest possible time, which will improve groundwater management in Ukraine.
