- W4313307303 abstract "This paper presents photovoltaic power forecasting using the novel grey box neural network-based Nonlinear AutoRegressive Moving Average with eXogenous input (NARMAX) model. First, the NARMAX based power forecasting model is developed using the meteorological parameters. The NARMAX model is then transformed into grey box neural network(GBNN) to identify the parameters of the forecasting model. The unique structure of NARMAX based GBNN has an advantage of taking less training time than the conventional neural network based schemes. The effectiveness of proposed scheme is demonstrated by experimental data obtained from 20 MW grid photovoltaic power generation system in Dongying, China. The performance of the proposed power forecasting scheme was compared with state of the art neural network scheme in current literature using different assessment metrics. The results demonstrate that the proposed scheme forecasts the power of the photovoltaic plant very effectively with prediction error within the tolerance range." @default.
