- W4313309524 abstract "The study illustrates the conducted process–mixture design of experiment to evaluate various properties of wheat straw polypropylene. It was observed that the mechanical properties of the fiber can be significantly influenced by the length and the aspect ratio. Experimental work was carried out by converting the wheat straw to powder in order to generate fibers, which were later fractionated into various fiber fractions. The objective of grinding the wheat straw to powder is to collect fiber grades with specific length and aspect ratio. Fiber composites were prepared using two different loadings of fiber mainly 30 and 50 wt%. The study facilitates the possibility of mapping the attributes and quality of fiber based on the observed variations in the properties of fiber composites. The drawn relations between the grades of fiber and the properties of composites can be further utilized to correlate and optimize the consumption of the various grades of straw fiber in thermoplastics composites synthesis for various applications.
