- W4313343887 abstract "Ganoderma species are a large and diverse genus of wood-rotting fungi that are found worldwide. It is made up of species that cause white rot on a wide variety of tree species. It has a long history of use as a medicinal mushroom in Asia and contains a variety of pharmacological properties associated with immunomodulatory action. It grows on decaying wood, and different components of the mushroom, including mycelia, spores, and the basidiocarps, are taken and marketed in a variety of forms, including powder, capsules, and beverages. Recent years have seen the rapid expansion of the Ganoderma enterprise, which has been aided by several efforts by academia and business. Numerous commercial products have used the bioactive components and their pharmacological activities. Thus, demand for Ganoderma mushroom as a therapeutic material is projected to increase in the near future. This is due to consumers who use dietary supplements and nutraceuticals to maintain their health and immunity. This chapter summarizes the significance, current perspectives, methodology for mushroom growth and production, and products in order to ascertain the current market status of Ganoderma mushroom products. These include strain characteristics, culture, and product processing, among others. It will serve as a significant information source for both research and commercial production." @default.
