- W4313367592 abstract "Non-similar convection heat transfer analysis is performed for alumina (γAl2O3) - water (H2O) and alumina – ethylene glycol (C2H6O2) nanofluids flows over vertically stretching heated plate. Considerable interest has been placed on alumina metal as it is used in diverse engineering applications including electronic industry. Buoyancy in terms of temperature difference is incorporated in the momentum equation. An effective Prandtl number model is employed in the energy equation with melting heat transport and Joule heating. Non-similar mathematical modeling is employed for thermal transport and entropy analysis. Non-similar transformations comprising of non-dimensional coordinates (ξ, η) are utilized to convert the governing system into dimensionless partial differential system. Numerical simulations are performed using method of local non-similarity up-to second order of truncation via bvp4c. Effects of melting parameter (M), magnetic parameter (Mn) and volume fraction (φ) on velocity and temperature profiles are illustrated graphically. It is concluded that velocity profile increases for larger estimations of nanoparticles volume fraction. Decline in temperature profile is noticed for increasing values of melting parameter. Furthermore, entropy generation, the skin friction and heat transfer rate are investigated through graphs and tables." @default.
