• W4313367716 abstract "The demand for air filters is gradually more increasing from the post-epidemic era, and the filtration characteristics of air filters fibers for complex and irregular cross aerosols in the air have been become a hot issue that people are urgently concerned about. In this paper, a mathematical model of the capture efficiency of air filters fibers for atmospheric particulate matters was established by using the fractal theory. The aerodynamic characteristics, mass characteristics and outline size characteristics of fractal particles were described respectively by using the equivalent radius of migration, equivalent radius of mass and equivalent radius of shell, and the filtration mechanism and fiber filtration performances were all analyzed. The results showed that the calculated results of the fractal theoretical fiber were in good agreement with the filtration results obtained by the experimental test, which could make the calculated filtration efficiency of the air filters closer to the actual filtration efficiency. The capture efficiency of small particles was mainly dominated by the diffusion effect and the interception effect. With the fractal dimension decreased, the inertial effect also decreased accordingly. Reducing the fiber diameter and increasing the filling rate of the air filters could help improve the capture efficiency of the fibers. It will provide reference values for the development of air filters in the post-epidemic era." @default.
