They are increasingly used in health care as an educational tool in medical education, or to aid in patient recovery. These games, which give the player the opportunity to face challenges, to live immersive experiences and to experience feelings of accomplishment, are likely to stimulate the motivation of the learners by making them more engaged and active in the development of their skills. The main advantage of using serious games in learning therefore lies in the increase in the effectiveness of learning due on the one hand to a greater involvement of the learner, on the other hand in a situation enabling knowledge to be transformed into skills. The aim of our work is to create a serious game for the management of acute chest pain, and to subsequently assess its relevance and its educational impact on the management of critical situations in the emergency room with medical students. We conducted an experimental, monocentric and observational study. The study focused on 220 medical students, between the 3rd and the 6th year of their medical study, all the faculties of medicine in the kingdom were represented, the recruitment was done by social networks and all the stages of the study were carried out remotely. The process was done in 4 steps: first a pre-test, followed by the serious game scenario, before moving on to the post-test and ending with a satisfaction survey form. Statistical analysis was performed with one variable and several variables (P < 0.05). Of the learners, 70.9% were female. The results of the pre-test and the post-test were different and comparable. With an average gain of 7.21 points. Significant progress was observed between pre-test and post-test (P < 0.001). Regarding the overall satisfaction, 99% of the participants were satisfied with the simulation training, 98.6% indicated that they wanted to attend other simulation sessions, 99.5% think that learning by Serious Game is perfectly suited for the distance education, This study demonstrated the great interest of serious games as a new educational tool." @default.
