- W4313444636 abstract "Supercritical carbon dioxide (S-CO2) is considered an alternative to the working substance in the Brayton cycle because of its better thermodynamic properties. The analysis of the performance of the printed circuit heat exchanger (PCHE) with a straight channel for various cross-sections and Reynolds numbers is evaluated to find the optimal shape for PCHE in the lower temperature region (LTR) of the regenerator in the Brayton cycle. The study is done in turbulent conditions. It was observed that the diameter of the channel and Reynolds number influences the overall heat transfer. In this study, six various cross-sections with a hydraulic diameter of 1.2 mm are considered. The optimal cross-section of the channel is varied for different Reynolds numbers ranging from 5000 to 25,000 using ANSYS Fluent." @default.
