- W4313444681 abstract "As mankind enters a new period of civilization, its energy need has increased dramatically. As a result, there is a greater reliance on fossil fuels and other finite energy sources. This is harmful to both the environment and the Earth. In the year 2020, India consumed 1381.827 billion units (BU) of energy. This rising need necessitates the development of a non-exhaustible alternative energy source. Solar photovoltaics has proven to be a viable alternative to current energy sources. It is inexhaustible, and recent developments in technology have opened new dimensions in utilizing India’s vast solar potential. This paper presents a case study of an ultra-high-power solar PV plant in India. The PV plant is located in the Science and Humanities block in the SRMIST campus. The capacity of the plant is 52 kW. This study is an endeavor to assess and evaluate the plant performance with the specifications mentioned in IEC 61724 standards. The plant availability factor, location impact, yield factor, energy yield, capacity factor, and panel tilt, etc., are studied and simulated in PV Watts software. These studies are significant not only for examining the plant’s performance and utility but also for predicting, designing, and evaluating future PV power plants." @default.
