- W4313480147 abstract "A comprehensive experimental study was designed to investigate the tensile response of four series of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) with different steel bars. The changing rule of the nominal tensile strength of UHPC in reinforced UHPC with respect to reinforcement details was revealed and the relative mechanism was clarified to both make adequate capacity calculation for structural design and develop the refined material model for finite-element analysis. Polynomial fitting formulas to account for the nominal tensile strength reduction of UHPC with steel bar ratios of 1.57–6.28% were proposed. UHPC nominal elastic tensile strength reduction in reinforced UHPC was found linearly dependent on the restrained degree of steel bars on UHPC shrinkage based on theoretical analysis. The further nominal ultimate tensile strength reduction of strain hardening UHPC in reinforced UHPC was verified to be attributed to the localized damage aggravation around the ribs of the deformed steel bar based on acoustic emission parametric analysis." @default.
