Abstract: Autism Spectrum Disorder significantly impacts the lives of diagnosed people and their families, especially mothers. The article aims to describe the changes, adaptations of life and daily life resulting from the diagnosis. The study included 90 volunteers, members of at least one of the three largest social networks on Autism Spectrum Disorder on Facebook, from where data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire. The results allowed us to infer that for most of those responsible, it was necessary to rearrange many aspects of daily life related to professional, financial, academic, personal and marital life, to the family and project routine, to incorporate the new reality brought by the diagnosis, reinforcing the need to public policies directed to the needs of this public.Keyword: Family Relations; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Diagnosis; Family Caregiver." @default.
