- W4313532031 abstract "In this chapter, we provide an overview of studies analyzing public attitudes towards cisgenics in comparison to other forms of genetical modifications. We outline economic impacts of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and consider the existing legislative framework related to the GMO and to cisgenics products in particular. The impact of new technologies for genetical modification of organisms is discussed. The importance of analyzing the differences between individual forms of genetic modifications is emphasized. The relevant legislation should adequately respond to the progress achieved with GMOs, in particular, with cisgenics. It is equally important that the public was widely and objectively informed about various forms of genetically modified organisms, so citizens had an opportunity by themselves to evaluate the possible risks and benefits of these types of organisms and form an informed opinion about them." @default.
