- W4313592851 abstract "Covid-19 is a disease caused by the novel coronavirus which has become a global pandemic, including Indonesia. Until now, the world has been trying to find the medicine for treating this disease. Medicinal plants contain phytochemicals with various properties such as anti-virus that could be an alternative solution. Intsia bijuga is one of the medicinal plants in Purwodadi Botanic Garden obtained from exploration in Mollucas and Java Islands. This study aimed to determine phytochemicals contained in I. bijuga with anti-coronavirus activity through in silico screening. Information of phytochemical compunds of I. bijuga was searched through literature studies. In silico screening of anti-coronavirus activity was carried out using molecular docking protein method between phytochemicals of I. bijuga and proteins playing a role in coronavirus infection, i.e. 3CLpro, PLpro and ACE2. The results showed that I. bijuga contained six compounds having anti-coronavirus activity, i.e. ampelopsin, naringenin, myricetin, robinetin, piceatannol and resveratrol. The best inhibitory activity was shown in the interaction of myricetin with 3CLpro and ACE2, as well as robinetin with PLpro and ACE2. This study is expected to provide additional information for pharmacologists in searching for plants with the potential as anti-coronavirus, as well as to increase the potential utilization of Purwodadi Botanic Garden collection originated from Indonesia." @default.
