- W4313593397 abstract "Tartaric acid has many applications, ranging from pharmaceutical and food to electrochemical industries. The current study aims to extract tartaric acid from tamarind pulp using soxhlet extraction apparatus in which 17.8% of tartaric acid was derived from tamarind pulp. The morphology, optical and chemical properties of derived tartaric acid (DTA) were investigated through XRD, Fluorescence spectroscopy and FTIR which revealed the maximum fluorescence emission wavelength was observed at 504.4 nm with an excitation wavelength of 375 nm and is correlated with the fluorescence lifetime of 17.93 ns of DTA. The chemical and morphological studies were carried out using FTIR and XRD. The results from various characterization techniques confirm that DTA can be used for various optical applications." @default.
