- W4313887213 abstract "Background: A health problem that still and often occurs during surgery is wound infection after cesarean section. Thee infection experienced by the patient can cause the length of time for wound healing.
Objectives: This study aims to determine the most dominant determinant of postoperative wound infection after cesarean section.
 Research Metodes:
The type of research used is analytic with a cross sectional study design with purposive sampling technique in order to obtain a sample of 70 respondents..
Results: The results of the analysis found that comorbid disease was not a determinant of post-cesarean surgical wound infection with p value = 0.419> 0.05. Premature rupture of membranes is a determinant of wound infection after cesarean section with p = 0.000 <0.05. History of cesarean section was not a determinant of post-cesarean surgical wound infection with a value of p=1,000> 0.05. The type of surgery is a determinant of post-cesarean surgical wound infection with p¬=0.004<0.05. The type of surgery is the most dominant determinant of wound infection after cesarean section with a value of Exp(B)=0,057.
Conclusion: It is recommended to routinely control the sutures after cesarean section to prevent surgical wound infection
