- W4315694826 abstract "In today’s world, electricity has become one of the most basic elements of life. Power transmission lines (PTL), which provide the transportation of electrical energy, are a vital element in electrical transmission. The control and maintenance of PTL is very important for the quality and uninterruptedness of the energy provided to the consumer, and for the stable and safe transportation of energy. The transmission lines that provide the transportation process pass through hard-to-reach and inaccessible areas such as mountains, seas and forests and travel for kilometers. In these challenging areas, monitoring, control and maintenance of PTL is very difficult. However, despite the difficulties, it is inevitable to ensure the control and maintenance of PTL. At this point, human safety, cost and speed are the main criteria to be considered. There are currently two methods commonly used for line control; One of them is the control method made by the workers and the other is the control method by helicopter. These methods have some disadvantages in terms of time, cost, safety and functionality. As an alternative method to these methods, PTL inspection robots have come to the fore. In this paper, experimental studies on PTL inspection robots that moving on the ground wire in the literature are examined. Details of robots with different mechanisms are presented." @default.
