- W4315695897 abstract "The materials of the article present the results of a study of the activities of institutions of out-of-school educational institutions of Ukraine in the conditions of war, in particular such main areas as educational, social activities, as well as the organization of leisure time, social and pedagogical support for children and youth. It has been updated that out-of-school education is an integral part of the education system of Ukraine. Moreover, it has significant opportunities to influence the consciousness and values of children and youth, to provide the necessary support to all participants in the educational process in difficult periods of the country’s development. This is facilitated by such features as mobility, variability, socio-pedagogical orientation, voluntariness, accessibility and opportunities for implementation in various forms (studio, hobby club or other creative association); focus on inclusiveness and barrier-freeness. An important mission of out-of-school education is education of conscious citizens of Ukraine. The main research methods are defined as theoretical analysis of the main provisions of scientific publications, methodical and informational materials, analysis of regulatory documents; online survey of teachers of institutions of out-of-school education; analysis of the experience of institutions of out-of-school education in order to determine the state of the problem in educational practice; generalization and systematization of data. To study the state of the problem, the Questionnaire “Survey regarding the organization of the educational process in institutions of out-of-school education under martial law” was used, which was developed by the Laboratory of Out-of-School Education of the Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. It is summarized that since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, a significant number of institutions of out-of-school education have opened their doors to those who have left their homes, providing shelter and support to thousands of adults and children. In the conditions of wartime, educators of institutions of out-of-school education conduct not only educational, but also public activities, provide psychological support and organize interesting leisure activities for children who were forced to leave their homes.Among the main tasks of out-of-school education in the conditions of martial law: “providing students with psychological support and adaptation to changes” (84.68 %); “providing up-to-date information on safe behaviour in emergency situations, etc.” (66.1 %), as well as “informal communication, socialization of children”; “try to distract children, divert their attention from terrible realities”, etc.The development of an inclusive educational environment in institutions of out-of-school education, in particular with the involvement of internally displaced children, was highlighted. The specific features of out-of-school education in Ukraine determine its exceptional significance and demand in wartime conditions." @default.
