- W4317241230 abstract "The development of sustainable and eco-processing thermosets with excellent mechanical properties and advanced functionality is important but faces great challenges. Here, we prepare all-biomass-derived thermoset polyimines containing dynamic networks of non-covalent aggregates (driven by H bonds and π-π stacking) and imine bonds. Smart molecular design leads to multifunctionality, such as tunable mechanical properties, hydroplasticity, polychromatic photoluminescence, and composite reprocessing. Effectively combining these functions provides convenient ways for designing materials with advanced applications. We demonstrate the feasibility of building a 3D anti-counterfeiting platform, allowing polymorphic data encryption and multidimensional decryption, as well as sensitive stretchable dry and self-adhesive strain sensors with appropriate conformal contact with the skin. The nitrogen-rich synergistic high-char-forming benzene rings give it an intumescent flame-retardant performance that meets the criteria for fire safety.
