- W4317438655 abstract "Organic waste composting refers to the degradation or decomposition of organic matter in solid waste by microorganisms into nutrient-rich humus. This organic nutrient-rich humus is extremely beneficial to plant growth, and organic manure can be produced by microorganisms. Compostable organic wastes include food waste, fodder, sludge, and agricultural waste, byproducts of seafood processing, sawdust, hair and fur, fireplace ashes, eggshell, animal dung, and organic materials from industries. The composting process is extremely beneficial to soil fertility and plant growth. It helps to retain soil moisture, reduces the need for chemical fertilizer, and reduces methane emissions from landfills, all of which have a significant environmental impact. Vermicomposting is a natural process of decomposing organic materials into nutrient-rich humus, converting biodegradable waste into organic nutrient-rich manure, with earthworms serving as the primary decomposing organism. The nutrient concentration is much higher, and it also contains plant growth regulators and a mesophilic process. Vermicomposting is beneficial for the removal of organic pollutants and can be used in the broad economic field of biofertilizer production. The earthworm’s gut microflora and mutualism have a significant impact on composting. As a result, their isolation, selection for the degrading enzyme, metabolic factors for mutualism, genetic analysis, and additional biotechnological approaches can open up new avenues for organic fertilizer production." @default.
