- W4317495588 abstract "The use of frozen embryo transfer (FET) has progressively increased given the availability of improved cryopreservation strategies (i.e. vitrification) and reassuring safety data. Indeed, indications for elective embryo cryopreservation today include risk of developing ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), pre-implantation genetic diagnosis/screening, late-follicular progesterone (P) elevation and embryo-endometrial asynchrony. Nonetheless, there are still numerous aspects of protocol preparation that need improvement or better definition. It would appear that in terms of endometrial priming, NC results superior to HRT, although, emerging evidence has discovered mild OS to be a promising protocol for FET as well. Available data up to now suggests that timing for blastocyst transfer ought to be the 6th day of P start in HRT FET, LH surge + 6 day in NC FET and hCG + 7 day in mNC. However, powerful RCTs that explore both live birth rates, as well as perinatal outcomes of FET are needed. Hopefully, future research will provide effective and affordable diagnostic tools that allow for fine tuning of FET timing based on personalized, targeted individualization of each patient’s window of implantation, ultimately leading to increased FET success rates." @default.
