In the last few decades, the international scientific forum, environmental research, and political institutions have strived upon the improvement of the comfort, health, and well-being of building occupants. First and foremost, why is monitoring of IAQ necessary? This is due to indoor air pollution (IAP) which can have a serious and negative impact on both health and quality of life of inhabitants. In view of majority of time spend indoors by occupants, the subject of IAQ beholds a compelling approach for mitigation of air pollutant exposure specifically during current health crisis owing to COVID-19. Various research groups have used the latest equipment to manage the IAQ testing services that precisely test a range of parameters and concerned issues causing discomfort at the workplace. Thus, the aim of this chapter is to address the necessity and review the current knowledge of IAQ measurement in terms of different aspects, allied science, and its applications in order to show the strategy of translational research studies on IAQ. In addition, the different aspects of IAQ such as measurement techniques, characterization methods, source apportionment, and their effects on environment and human health are also parts of this chapter. Due to the rapidly changing technology, thermal ease parameters such as temperature, relative humidity (RH), and wind speed are known to play an important role in indoor air quality. This chapter is an attempt to discover how persons can live in surroundings of the environment with a good air quality and comfortable lifestyle." @default.
