- W4317732007 abstract "Sexual functions are often adversely affected in patients with chronic urticaria. There are a limited number of studies on this situation. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate and compare body image in sexual life in patients with and without chronic urticaria. The study was conducted with 70 patients with chronic urticaria as a case group and 70 healthy individuals as a control group. The data were collected using the introductory information form and the Body Exposure during Sexual Activities Questionnaire (BESAQ). In our study, the mean of the BESAQ score of the case group was found to be higher than the control group (p <0.05). It was determined that individuals, who reported that they had lesions in their genital areas and that their sexual life was affected by the disease, had high BESAQ scores (p <0.05). According to these results, it can be said that the sexual functions of individuals with chronic urticaria were affected. Furthermore, these individuals focus more on their bodies during sexual activities than the control group and avoid sexual intercourse." @default.
