Ces derniers ont permis de souligner des attitudes de soin très variées allant d’une relation autoritaire souvent associée à un manque d’informations fournies aux patients, à la coopération thérapeutique. Cette synthèse souligne que certains comportements paternalistes sont contre-productifs. À l’inverse une approche centrée sur le patient contribue à développer l’alliance thérapeutique et à favoriser l’empowerment chez ces derniers. Le discours du soignant apparaît ainsi comme un levier indispensable pour promouvoir la santé des patients. The patient and healthcare worker relationship has always generated ethical reflection, especially since the creation of the Kouchner's law, due to its major role in the quality of the patient care. However, the role of the healthcare worker's communication, which is a key element to this relationship, keeps being undervalued. A literature review was carried out over the last ten years to demonstrate the impact the healthcare worker's communication had, especially in terms of the disease's experience and the involvement in the therapeutic approach. Out of 1292 articles, 15 have been included in the review. Those reviews brought to light some very different approaches regarding the patient care, from the authoritarian relationship (often related to the lack of information given to the patients) to a therapeutic cooperation. This synthesis states that some patronizing behaviours are counterproductive. Whereas a more patient-centered approach helps to develop a therapeutic alliance and helps promote patient's empowerment.
