One of the most promising approaches is the use of nanotechnology for the treatment of wastewater. The potential in the field of nanotechnology has a significant impact on its use in wastewater treatment. There is present a whole plethora of nanomaterials and techniques available which can be used for wastewater treatment. The union of nanotechnology with biological science has gained impetus and has shown some promising results. Various strategies for wastewater treatment highlighting 3 major ones are discussed in greater detail. Also, there are various drawbacks that comes with the up-scaled use of nanomaterials in wastewater treatment, which needs to be addressed and solved. This chapter outlines the perspective scope of the use of nanomaterials and techniques for the wastewater treatment." @default.
