- W4319072023 abstract "Rape is the fourth most common crime in India according to NCRB report given in 2019 and is steadily increasing. The evidence found at the crime spot helps to solve the crime in forensic laboratory. The evidence such as semen stain, blood stain, hairs (pubic or normal) are most found at the crime spot. Same as the hairs the blood in the criminal cases such as rape are of two types that is normal blood (peripheral or circulatory) and the abnormal blood (menstrual blood). The normal blood is the circulatory blood which flows or runs in the blood vessels and transports oxygen to the various organs of the body whereas the abnormal blood is the menstrual blood which forms the endometrium layer of the uterus. According to the earlier researchers, the normal and abnormal blood are differentiated based on hematology study (hemoglobin level, RBC count, WBC count), crystal formation and some rapid chromatographic tests. In this paper it will be studied how the blood is differentiated into normal or menstrual based on clotting factors present in it with the help of Fluorescence Immunoassay (FIA) technique, how does the value of D dimer deviated when blood is stored at different time interval." @default.
