• W4319309685 abstract "Most research on wind power plants is carried out to increase voltage and output power which is greater than the previous research. Several ways that have been done to increase the voltage and output power of a wind power plant are using Double Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) topology, modifying pitch angle, and modifying inertia. However, impact of increasing voltage and output power capacity of wind power plant can increase the contribution of fault current when short circuit occurs. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of changes in inertia on DFIG type wind power plant on changes in the contribution of short circuit fault currents. The change in inertia used starts from 0.1, 1, 2, and 3. The short circuit fault analysis method used in this paper is 3 phase faults, line to ground (LG), line to line (LL), and line to line to ground (LLG). In addition, short circuit analysis also uses the analysis of AC transient components, DC components, and AC rms components. Simulation results are based on testing using IEC 60909 standard, the greater the inertia value, the higher the short-circuit fault current and vice versa. The test is based on the IEC 61363 standard, the greater DFIG inertia, the higher the peak fault current in the subtransient period, the DC component and the AC rms component. Although the peaks of the subtransient period are different, they have same peak height of the short-circuit current wave in steady state period." @default.
