- W4319430722 abstract "As a top priority, most governments strive to reduce traffic accidents. It may be prudent to use automated solutions for various driving-related infrastructures, as human error is the leading cause of accidents. Drivers have difficulty starting their vehicles on slopes due to load and clutch releasing issues, resulting in vehicle back rolling. A pressure holding braking system for steep inclines is designed and implemented in this article to prevent accidents on hill slopes. It detects the angular position of the vehicle using an accelerometer. During the up-climbing portion, the vehicle's back movement is protected by using a timer application to maintain break pressure when the driver releases foot from clutch to accelerator in the vehicle. The proposed prototype includes the slope detection, pressure holder and pressure release system. First the accelerometer measures the vehicle slope angle, which is then passed to the microcontroller for further process by either applying a constant pressure in the brake system for a while (driver shift the legs from brake to accelerometer) or normal condition to follow. When the time delay is over, the pressure holds up in the braking system gets released and the vehicle will move forward. In hills, it is very useful for new drivers driving the vehicle in hill stations during heavy traffic periods. By implementing this method in the braking system, the newly driving people in hill station are highly benefitted and easy to extend in old vehicles to avoid accident possibilities when compared to the normal vehicle system." @default.
