- W4319457701 abstract "Analysis of electric circuits in nonsinusoidal, nonlinear conditions has been a talking point for a long time, and there are different approaches to analysis methods. Since its beginning and to date, the electric power system has been getting complex through the embedding of power electronics (PE) equipment, converters, and renewable energy (RE) sources. Electronic equipment has revolutionized the power system and brought numerous benefits to industrial applications. Still, unfortunately, this is at the cost of distortion in signals (voltage, current, power). This further necessitates understanding power flow in nonsinusoidal linear and nonlinear circuit conditions. A novel mathematical framework of analysis in such an environment can help to achieve a consensus regarding the standards that can comply with the well-known, established standards in sinusoidal conditions. This chapter summarizes the application of geometric algebra (GA) as a mathematical tool for circuit analysis instead of complex algebra. Some basic examples with results are exhibited, attained with this tool, and compared with the harmonic domain (HD) to draw a comparative conclusion." @default.
