- W4319458263 abstract "Investigation in low-cost robotics can have various benefits in both speeding up human development by making robots more broadly adopted and making assistive robots more moderate for everybody. Thus, this study assessed the design optimization of a medical robotic manipulator for testing COVID-19 virus using finite element analysis. A literature survey on the design optimization of robotic manipulators was done to get a deeper understanding of the topic. The design optimization of the manipulator has been done using Solid Works simulation tools such as topology, frequency, and static analysis. Results showed that, a maximum stress of 13.04MPa occurs on the optimized manipulator links which is less than the yield strength of Kevlar 53% which is 2758MPa. Therefore, the optimized design was safe under the specified loading conditions. The results also, showed that there was a mass reduction of 17.76% for the optimized robotic manipulator. Overall, design optimization helps to make sure that medical robots are safe, reliable and economical." @default.
