- W4320033710 abstract "The use of Electric Vehicles (EVs) continues to increase in Turkey as well as in the world. In smart grids, mobile battery systems in EVs can also be used as energy storage and auxiliary services. The importance given to energy efficiency and the development of smart grid systems has accelerated the development of distributed energy generation systems. It has been determined EVs can make various contributions to the energy market thanks to their bidirectional energy transfer capabilities. This study investigates how a future fleet of EVs could affect the local grid of Kirsehir province, Turkey. A model was created in Excel that aims to test three different scenarios with the power data of a winter week, which should sample extreme conditions for the electricity grid. The results show that some form of governance will be needed to deal with the consequences of uncontrolled charging with a fleet of EVs, and Vehicle to Grid (V2G) could be an alternative. If load balancing is done with V2G, it can lead to a financial profit for the grid company. This could enable network operators to offer incentives to EV owners to use V2G." @default.
