- W4320522099 abstract "Pt single atoms grafted on graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) as an active catalyst for photoelectric hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are called Ptx@g-C3N4. Through the property tests XAS, XPS, UV–Vis, PL, EISand TGA, we confirm that Pt has been successfully grafted into the special pore structure of g-C3N4 in the form of single atoms, and that it has the characteristics of both. The best-performing catalyst has a Pt load of 17 μg/cm2 on the electrode, with a weight percentage of 2.13%. Under acidic conditions, at η = 50 mV, the turnover frequency for photoelectric catalysis is ∼ 44.8 H2/s. The reaction mechanism of this series of catalysts for HER exhibits a Tafel slope of ∼ 41 mV/dec in the low-potential region, and the Heyrovsky reaction is the rate-determining step. Pt atoms are incorporated into g-C3N4, which combines the strong adsorption ability of Pt atoms with H atoms and the optical properties of g-C3N4. When illuminated, the overpotential decreases, η10 = 44 → 39 mV, and the current density increases by 22% at 44 mV. It has high stability in the long-term HER process. The decline rate after 1000 cycles of HER is less than 5%. Compared with Pt atom s supported on carbon materials, the Ptx@g-C3N4 catalyst shows strong competitiveness in the HER process." @default.
