- W4321063670 abstract ".DC-DC converters are widely used for converting the constant DC voltage to variable DC voltage. The dual active bridge (DAB) based DC-DC converters are more suitable for applications such as forward and reverse flow of power, electrical isolation, huge power density, and efficiency. This study offers a coupled inductor-based DAB (CIDAB) converter operation in the reverse mode i.e. power flow from higher to lower voltage sides to transfer the surplus battery power to the utilities. The transformer is replaced by a coupled inductor in the CIDAB converter for achieving higher voltage gain and efficiency. It is a current-fed DAB (CF-DAB) converter consisting of four power switches, operating for wide input voltage ranges. The converter's dynamic and steady-state performance can be controlled by the coupled inductor. The considered converter operates in the reverse direction. i.e. from the high voltage (HV) side to the low voltage (LV) side and its steady-state analysis are derived. The simulation of the CIDAB converter in the reverse direction and discharging of the battery is obtained in MATLAB 2021a. As a consequence, the HV is stepped down to LV and can be used in applications such as Electric Vehicles (EVs)." @default.
