- W4323275396 abstract "We present experimental and theoretical research into the dissociation and combustion behavior of methane hydrate tablets and powders of double gas hydrates methane-ethane, methane-isopropanol, and methane-propane using different heat supply schemes. Powder pressing allows significantly changing the porosity, the resistance of gas filtration through the pores, as well as the hydrate dissociation rate. To improve the combustion efficiency, it is necessary to conduct comprehensive studies on use of different schemes of heat supply. In the experiments with pressed tablets of methane hydrate, we observed stable combustion. The double gas hydrate powders showed stable combustion in a muffle furnace. The maximum dissociation rate was observed in the case of a thin (2–3 mm) methane-isopropanol hydrate burned in a muffle furnace. The data obtained for the hydrate dissociation and combustion can help predict the impact of the component composition of gas hydrates and thermal conditions around the samples." @default.
